How long does a door lock installation take?
Most standard lock installations take between 30 and 60 minutes. Multipoint mechanisms or smart locks can take longer, but we’ll always give you a time estimate up front.
Do my locks need to meet BS3621 or other insurance standards?
Many insurers require a BS3621 5-lever mortice deadlock or a TS007 3-star anti-snap cylinder on final exit doors. We install British Standard approved locks and will check your current setup against your policy requirements.
Can I supply my own lock for fitting?
Yes, you can supply your own lock, though we recommend locks that meet British Standards for insurance and security. We’ll advise honestly on whether the lock you’ve bought is suitable for your door.
Do you remove and dispose of the old lock?
Yes. We remove your old lock, take it away with us, and leave the area tidy. All new parts and workmanship are covered by a 1-year guarantee.
Do you install smart locks and keyless entry systems?
Yes, we fit a range of smart locks including keypad, fingerprint and app-controlled systems. We’ll recommend options that suit your door type and show you how to use everything before we leave.
