Locksmith services in Kings Heath
Whatever’s gone wrong with your doors or locks, DGM Locksmiths handles it every week across Kings Heath and South Birmingham — with most work completed in a single visit.
Lockouts & Entry
Locked out, keys locked inside, or the lock won’t turn? We gain entry non-destructively wherever possible, so your lock keeps working.
Lock Changes
Moved in, lost keys or leaving a tenancy? We replace cylinders and locks so the only keys that open your door are yours.
Lock Repairs
Stiff, seized, spinning or sticking locks — and snapped keys left in the cylinder — diagnosed and repaired on the spot.
uPVC & Composite Doors
Failed multi-point mechanisms and worn cylinders are our bread and butter — including anti-snap euro cylinder upgrades.
Wooden Doors
BS 3621 mortice deadlocks, sashlocks and nightlatches supplied, replaced and upgraded to insurer-friendly standards.
Break-In Repairs
After a burglary or attempted break-in, we repair or replace damaged locks and secure your home again — same visit.
🚨 Locked out right now? Three things NOT to do
Don’t force the lock (it makes entry harder and can wreck the door), don’t try to drill it out, and don’t climb in through a window — it can look like a break-in to neighbours and insurers alike. Instead, call Gabriel on 07436 606683. We aim for non-destructive entry first, wherever you are in Kings Heath.

A local locksmith covering Kings Heath
Kings Heath is one of South Birmingham’s busiest suburbs in B14 — a lively High Street of independent shops, cafés and bars, surrounded by streets of Victorian and Edwardian terraces, inter-war semis and newer flats. Older homes often still have wooden front doors with mortice locks and nightlatches, while many have been upgraded to uPVC and composite doors with euro cylinders — and the shops along the High Street need fast, reliable help when a shutter or shopfront lock fails. DGM Locksmiths is an independent Birmingham business — not a national call centre routing strangers to your door — so you deal directly with Gabriel from first call to finished job, at a fair fixed price. We cover Kings Heath and the surrounding areas:
Frequently asked questions
How quickly can you reach me in Kings Heath?
DGM Locksmiths is based in Bartley Green and works across South Birmingham every day, including Kings Heath and B14. When you call, Gabriel gives you an honest estimated arrival time for your address — no vague promises. Call 07436 606683 for an exact ETA.
Can you open my door without damaging it?
Wherever possible we use non-destructive entry techniques, so your lock keeps working afterwards. If the lock is genuinely failed or destroyed, we carry replacement cylinders and mortice locks on the van so the door can be secured in the same visit.
Will you need proof that I live at the address?
Yes — we’ll ask for ID or proof of address before opening any locked door. It’s standard professional practice, it protects homeowners, and any genuine locksmith will do the same.
Can you replace or upgrade my lock there and then?
Yes. Our van carries anti-snap euro cylinders, multi-point locks, BS 3621 mortice locks and nightlatches for uPVC, composite and wooden doors, so most replacements and upgrades are completed on the first visit with new keys cut on the spot.
How much will it cost?
We agree a fixed price with you before any work begins — no hidden extras. Prices depend on the door, the time and the work needed, which is why we assess first and quote clearly. Call 07436 606683 for an honest quote.
Do you cover areas around Kings Heath?
Yes — Moseley, Brandwood End, Billesley, Yardley Wood, Stirchley, Kings Norton, Hall Green, Balsall Heath and across South Birmingham. If you’re unsure whether we cover your street, just ask.
What our customers say
Real reviews from our Google Business Profile — from customers across Kings Heath, Birmingham and the Black Country.
Gabriel was fantastic. He was friendly, professional and informative. I really appreciated how he explained the issue and the different options. Very reasonably priced and I feel confident in calling again (if we ever need to!).
Great guy. Very honest and skilled. Fast and easy solution and fairly priced. Perfect.
Very friendly gentleman. Quick and speedy service. Updates throughout.
Gaby, was brilliant - i phoned, he answered straight away. Promised he will get out to me in a space of 20 mins. He turned up and fixed the lock within minutes. He is very professional and very reliable and very affordable. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He also bought his two little boys with him. Which was very nice as it is now the school holidays, so i totally understood. He was honest about this and i respect this. Also it’s not an expensive service, like with other companies that lie to you. Thank you Gaby.
Excellent service from DGM Locksmiths. I had a seized and stripped lock screw that I couldn’t remove myself. He came out quickly, sorted the issue within minutes, fitted my new anti-snap lock properly, and even corrected an issue with the screw supplied with the lock at no extra charge. Very professional, honest, knowledgeable and much more reasonably priced than other quotes I received. Would definitely recommend.
